Matson Consulting has completed a number of projects in conjunction with North Carolina State University; most notably with their Cooperative Extension, and the Department of Agricultural
and Resource Economics. The goal of this department is, through information sharing, teaching, and other services, to solve legal, business, economic, and policy issues. Matson has worked closely with their staff on their informative extension program.
N.C. MarketReady is the Cooperative Extension outreach of the Plants for Human Health Institute. Their multidisciplinary team builds partnerships and educational resources to enhance the profitability of N.C. agriculture and promote the consumption of fruits and vegetables.
Their primary focus is on agricultural enterprise and business skills development, fresh produce safety, horticultural production skills education, and market strengthening. In addition, NC MarketReady assists with the development and advancement of agricultural economic interests in value added and alternative agriculture.
Matson Consulting has assisted N.C. MarketReady in accomplishing their rural business development missions. Working with Center Director Rod Gurganus, we have offered highly effective expertise to aid in the development of rural organizations and businesses. N.C.
