The Center for Cooperative and Enterprise Development (SCCCED) represents a collaborative effort between Clemson University Cooperative Extension, South Carolina State Small Business Development Center (SBDC), the South Carolina Department of Agriculture (SCDA), and Matson Consulting.

SCCCED is focused on progressing the economy, environment, and well-being of South Carolinians through the delivery of unbiased, research-based information and education. The Center and partners provide technical assistance to cooperatives, mutually owned businesses, and other small business within multiple industries, but with a strong focus on agricultural businesses as well as a dedication to enhancing and expanding local food and agricultural business throughout the state.

Business Planning and Business Plan Development

Providing guidance during the business planning process.

Financial Management Assistance

Assisting individuals and businesses in locating grant programs, reviewing and writing applications, as well as other aspects of business succession and estate planning that are impacted by the economy.

Education and Training

Delivering information in areas such as financial management, marketing, tax preparation, leadership skills, entrepreneurship, start-up cost, credit management and expanding business operations.

Networking and Resources

Connecting individuals and their business network with other organizations, government agencies, customers and other businesses to establish a collaborative effort in making better business decisions and become more sustainable in the future.
